Refined products from crude tall oil

Tall oil is a versatile mixture of compounds that can be refined into various renewable products and used in many different applications to substitute fossil raw materials.

Tall oil can be refined into different fractions (i.e. distillate) that, with further processing, replaces fossil raw materials in different products, such as biofuels, adhesives and binders, car tyres, inks, health and wellness products as well as fragrances, thereby reducing the products’ GHG-intensity. The production process uses circular raw materials, mainly crude tall oil, which is a by-product of the kraft pulping process. All fractions produced in the process are usable and, therefore, no waste is created.
